Extended Pin Chains are used to transfer parts to different work stations, in indexing mechanisms etc.
In any assembly line or production conveyor, there's always a moment where the chain has to do more than just move — it has to carry something. A jig plate. A part holder. A carrier bracket. A sensor mount. In these applications, a standard roller chain isn't enough. You need a chain that can hold your fixture, position it precisely at every workstation, and deliver it back again, thousands of times a day without deviation.
That's exactly what Extended Pin Chains are built to do. And at Allied Industrial Corporation — Kolkata's authorised Diamond (TIDC India) dealer since 1969 — we supply the complete range: single-pitch, double-pitch, American series, custom pin lengths, threaded ends, one-side or both-side extensions. Ready for immediate dispatch across Kolkata and Eastern India.
An Extended Pin Chain — also called an EP chain, extended pin roller chain, or pin-extension chain — is a standard precision roller chain in which selected outer link pins are lengthened beyond the outer plates on one or both sides. These protruding pins serve as mounting points for jigs, carrier brackets, fixture plates, guide rails, stops, sensors, or any attachment component that needs to travel with the chain at precise, repeatable intervals.
The base chain underneath works exactly like a standard Diamond roller chain — it transmits power, engages with standard sprockets, and is maintained in the same way. The extended pins add a mechanical interface layer on top of that drive function, turning a simple power transmission chain into a precision part-indexing or workstation-transfer system.
Think of it as a chain that carries and drives at the same time. The pin extension is the interface between the production chain and the product it moves.
Allied Industrial Corporation stocks and supplies the complete Diamond (TIDC India) extended pin chain range — single-pitch BS/ISO, double-pitch BS/ISO, American ANSI series, and custom-engineered configurations.
For plant engineers and procurement managers: the table below provides Diamond Extended Pin Chain specifications across BS, double-pitch, and ANSI series — the most widely used configurations in Indian industry. Sourced from TIDC India's IC Catalogue and ANSI B29.1/B29.3 standards.

Notes: Break load refers to the base roller chain (pin extension does not reduce chain tensile strength when correctly specified). Pin extension range is indicative — TIDC India manufactures to specific length on order. For threaded pin ends (M6–M12), add T suffix to chain model when ordering.
